my studio

ok folks, for the first time i'm letting it be known in public:

I am working on starting my own radio talk show.  i am planning it a good bit.  I have already started a good bit and all.  I plan to broadcast a live video stream of it so that anyone can watch it 24/7/365.  I am working on the desk setup and all.  I am planning to make it be a very similar setup to Leo Laporte's (http://twit.tv/ or http://live.twit.tv/) current setup.  Leo is in the process of building a brand new studio and I am not entirely sure how that will look.  Anyways, my setup will be similar to Leo Laporte's current setup except I am trying to do mine as cheaply and inexpensive as possible because I don't have much money.  Even so, I still want to and plan to have around 3 or 4 video camera's to switch between and all.  It's still gonna be a nice setup and all.

update from May 13th was:
I am getting closer and closer to having that radio/tv station/studio up and running.  I might be broadcasting it online in 1-2 weeks I am thinking.  I have been working on making enough room in my bedroom to put this "studio".  I would say I just reached a major stepping stone in the process.  Last night I finished moving all the boxes and stuff out of my bedroom that I needed to get out.  Last night I also moved the loveseat out of my bedroom which was taking up a good bit of room.  Now in the next week or 2 I plan to build a U shaped desk of sorts.  Also, I plan to build a structure framework to hold a bunch of fluorescent lights close to the ceiling (i figure best option since we are renting the house).  Then all I will need to do is order some electronic equipment (ex: sound mixer, video switcher, new computer, video cameras).   I don't know for sure... maybe it'll be more like 3 weeks from now till its all said and done.  Also, I'm thinking as of now... I might do at least 2 shows.  1 show will be focused mostly on God and the other show will be focused mostly on technology.

On May 28th, 2011, my bro and I went to Home Depot and bought all the wood and stuff needed to make the "light structure" and "desk" that I want.  We also cut most of the wood to the correct measurements that are needed so I am making progress.  The light structure will hold the lights and maybe some video cameras.  The desk is going to be a U-shaped desk that will kind of T with another desk I currently have.

After talking with a friend yesterday (May 30th, 2011) about this I am not sure about all the talk shows I will do but I am thinking of at least 3: one will be focused on God that will be somewhat serious, one will be focused on God but more fun (or a lot of fun) and the third will be about technology and include God in that as well.  So hopefully they'll all include God somehow.

I have pictures of the different steps and progress that has been made in all of this towards getting this studio/radio show up and running.  I hope to post these pictures soon and post more updates with text and pictures in the near future.  I guess in some ways I am not entirely sure how and what all I will do.  It might end up being a mix between Chris Pirillo (http://chris.pirillo.com/) and Leo Laporte (http://twit.tv/)
