bought

Well i just bought most of the stuff i need to make this all happen.  There should be only about 1 more item and that is to buy and build my custom big/main computer that I will be at most of the time.  Once all the items I ordered today and yesterday arrive, its possible that I still might need some cables here and there.  So I will either buy those locally or online, but that should be all I need to get it all working.  Here is a pic of what all I just bought:

A lot of things I am unsure about including everything above but that is ok.  I am kind of "flying by the seat of my pants"

chair/ball

So a few weeks ago I bought a 65cm anti-burst fitness ball from walmart for around $20 that will act as my chair behind my desk.  This is similar or the same thing that Leo Laporte does/uses.

update on 6-26-2011

This week I thought I had an issue and was going to have to figure out a different way to do my show because: I thought the cameras I am going to buy, I thought would only output a signal of 1080p but the only tv/capture card I can find for a computer online will only capture (take inputs) of 1080i.  I made some calls to some of these manufacturers and checked specs online.  I found that the cameras will also do 1080i so I can turn the cameras down to 1080i (for the live show) and that should work fine for what I need.  Now I just need to buy all the electronic equipment.  I also hope to get a webpage and facebook page up and running soon probably even a few weeks before the show goes live.  I will keep posting updates here.

desk is finished!!!

Ok, so my bro, my dad and I just finished my desk last night (6-17-2011) and put it into place.  We also moved the window air conditioner out of my room and into the spare bedroom right next to my room.  That way there is no noise from it in my room and its not blowing at my neck the entire time.  yay!  :)  So here are the pics of the finished product with it in the final position.

Now I just have to buy all the equipment such as new computer (probably custom built myself), video switcher, sound mixer, etc...  The outside dimensions of the desk are 4 feet by 6.5 feet.  The inside dimensions of where I will sit inside the U are 20 inches by 21 inches.  What you also see is a permanent keyboard tray all the way around me that will not move (that's why its called permanent).

 Today 6-15-2011 I just stained the desk (top) [not the legs] for the second time.  I am thinking about not even bothering to stain the legs a second time.  They look great with only 1 coat of stain.
